Although delayed ejaculation is less common than PE, some men struggle with the inability to release with a partner despite feeling sufficiently aroused, and despite getting enough stimulation. Delayed ejaculation is frequently a function of anxiety and sometimes the result of an excessively vigorous masturbatory practice. Among younger men, inhibited ejaculation can be associated with excessive porn use—but not always. Which is why this problem requires a careful assessment from a well-trained sex therapist in order to construct at a targeted and effective approach to treatment.
